You Never Buy Me Flowers

You never buy me flowers
You say that flowers die
But I say they are pretty
And they are like presents for my eyes

You never buy me flowers
Yet I always question why
But you reassure me that flowers
Are not more important than I

Flowers bloom
And flowers die
But they are so pretty To my own eyes

There is beauty in blooming
There is beauty in death
Yet I don’t get flowers And then I get upset

Cause you never buy me flowers
And I always wonder why
But I now realized I received a flower
And in front of my face it did die

“Sometimes relationships are like flowers. They bloom oh so beautifully, and then die right before your eyes…Maybe flowers aren’t that great after all…. ” – Monica Renata
