The pain was overwhelming
Like hot tea burning flesh
Toxic like poison
Venom from the serpent’s nest
As cute as a baby bear
But ferocious as an adult
Memories both good and bad
Unfold when I think of us
Green light, Yellow light, Red light
The world comes to a stop
Pain overlaps pleasure
