In God’s Eyes

Holes in my Sunday dress
Sandals on my feet
Hair a tangled, matted mess
No one wants to see me

My car
I don’t have one
But my pride
Is bursting at the seams

I am but a homeless woman to you
But in God’s eyes I am a queen

Holes in my Sunday suit
No shoes on my feet
Hair is unkempt and not groomed
No one wants to see me

Walked here
My feet are my transportation
My life is hard
But I refuse to weep

I am but a homeless man to you
But in God’s eyes I am a king

Holes in my once beautiful soul
The nicest shoes on my feet
Hair in the nicest style
Everyone wants to see me

Drove here in my newest ride
My sports car is very neat
My life, so many envy
But It is crashing at my feet

I am but a rich person to you
But I am praying God heals me
