I dream with my eyes open
Trying to stay focus
Looking ahead thinking
“Dang God I want this!!!”
Walk head first
Into what I feared the most
So many doubtful faces
But I still have hope
What is the need to close my eyes?
When I might miss what’s in front my face?
I get on my knees every night
Asking God for his good graces
And still many people say reach for your dreams
But how can we reach for something that we can’t see
Eyes open, mind focused; I’m destined to win
Always moving forward with my back to disappointments
You see life happens so quick
I won’t let a moment pass by
While others dream with their eyes closed
I dream with mines wide
And though it might seem foolish
It isn’t foolish to me
Because I can’t move forward
Unless I am walking in my dream
