Brave Beyond Imagine

I am brave beyond imagine

So brave in other people’s eyes

I do not fear to take a chance

I do not fear to try

 

I have more courage than a lion

I demand respect like royalty

In troubled storms I shall not falter

On the outside I am who I always wanted to be

 

I am brave beyond imagine

I am so brave in other people’s eyes

Yet my one fear and downfall

Is what others cannot see with their eyes

 

I’m afraid of what gives me life

I am afraid to allow it to fully beat

I’m afraid to break this delicate part of me

I’m afraid to give others a piece

 

On the outside I seem so courageous

But yet I am a coward indeed

So afraid to get my heart broken

That my true feelings I do not speak

 

I am brave beyond imagine

That is what other people see

But my greatest fear is my own heart

I’m afraid to let it truly beat
