Blocks Of Life

I bought a box of building blocks

I tried to build my life

I placed the pieces gently down

And I began to draw with my eyes

An over imagination

A euphoric feeling in my brain

I just keep placing those blocks in formation

Until no more remained

Spent so much time doing this

Yet now I’m completely lost

For it isn’t what I wanted it to be

And I know this will come with a cost

A sturdy foundation built

Yet I feel like I wasted time

Can’t seem to do anything right!

When will what is mines be mines?

I bought a box of building blocks

I tried to build my life

The work is still unfinished

Yet it is still a work of art

Admired by so many

A job well done

But to the artist it isn’t ready

There is still work to be done

“At every age you will want more in life than what you have. You will never have it all together. Life takes time. Don’t feel discouraged if you took time to build a solid foundation in your life. A solid foundation has potential to hold a fortress….” –Monica Renata
