Better Day

One day I had a penny

And that day I so did frown

For what could a penny do for me?

And that thought got me so down

 

One day I found a penny

And I smiled with glee

For I believed that old tale

That luck would be bestowed on me

 

One cent still equaled one cent

Just like a day still equals a day

The only difference was the attitude I had that day

 

Today I had a few thoughts

They were bitter yet also sweet

But I decided to focus on the best thoughts

Because those thoughts benefit me

 

For life is a beautiful blessing

Sure things may not always go your way

But focus not on the negatives

And you will defiantly have a better day
